Who's K. Luu?

Kelly, a proud Southern California native, was shaped by the resilience of her immigrant parents, who rebuilt their lives in the United States after being displaced by war. Growing up below the poverty line, school lunches were often her only meal, but her family’s determination taught her that compassion, community, and grit could overcome even the harshest challenges.

At 13, Kelly’s life shifted when her mother fell severely ill. Balancing school, work, and helping her dad care give her mother, she witnessed how society overlooks those with disabilities, igniting her passion to advocate for the voiceless. She discovered that strength is often quiet, progress isn’t always linear, and true growth comes from seeking wisdom through faith, experience, and community.

Kelly earned her bachelor’s degree from UC Irvine and study aboard at Regent’s College in London. She completed her multi-subject teaching credentials at UC Irvine. With over 20 years of experience, Kelly has worn many hats—teacher, tutor, academic counselor, mentor, pseudo mom and life coach. After five years of teaching in public and private schools, she founded an international education service company that helps students across the United States, China, and Mexico.

Now, she’s taken her passion for education and evolved Get a Kluu from an educational service into a brand that serves as a platform to magnify the impact she’s been making for years. What started as a mission to help students has grown into a brand that fuses fashion, community, and purpose, creating opportunities for learning, collaboration, and giving back. Through Get a Kluu, Kelly continues to uplift, inspire, and equip the next generation with the tools to thrive.

Her experiences shaped her approach to life and service. She channels her passion into both her company and community efforts, believing that true transformation happens when people come together as a village—sharing wisdom, offering support, and giving each other the chance to thrive. Guided by her faith and lived experiences, Kelly remains committed to being a light for others, standing firm in the beliefs.
